I know you're a busy entrepreneur with big goals.
You're focused on creating offers that solve your people's problems.
And you know social media can be an amazing (free!) driver of quality traffic to said offers.
The question is:
How does video marketing turn into sales without taking hours each day, requiring you to dance around with a full face of makeup on, or suck you into a scroll-hole of procrastination and perfectionism?
When I first heard about TikTok and Instagram Reels, my initial reaction was probably the same as yours:
“Dancing videos? Lip syncing? Nah, that's for teens. Let the kids have their fun."
BUT THE FACTS ABOUT TIKTOK SPECIFICALLY INTRIGUED ME: 800 MILLION USERS SPENDING, ON AVERAGE, 52 MINUTES A
DAY IN THE APP.
If you've ever scrolled TikTok or even watched someone's TikTok that they posted on Instagram or Facebook (guilty), maybe you've also thought:
"Geez, that dance is fast. I could never." "Why is this boy licking his lips at me?" "Crop tops and tie dye - what era am lin?"
After dabbling in TikTok last year (read: I only posted a handfull of videos), I almost gave up on the app entirely. "The teens, they can have their TikTok dances."
That was - until the enf of 2020.
I decided to give TikTok the old college try by posting one video a day.
Two weeks into my posting experiment, I realized something major.
TikTok wasn't just a place to jump on dance trends or show your toned arms and glistening, ring-lit eyes...
TikTok is a powerful engine for evergreen videos.
"Hmm what if I stopped posting trendy videos and only shared topics that my specific audience cared about - today, tomorrow and 2 years from now?"
I put my hunch to the test and my views
20,000 views 40,000 views. 60,000 views. and now I have millions of views across multiple platforms.
But the best part, knowing how to turn views into leads then into customers.
